Currently Hiring for a part-time line cook and a part-time front of house cashier. Please see below for full job description. Note: We are exclusively looking for weekend and evening availability. Candidates will only be considered if they are able to provide this!

 

 

Position: Part-time line cook

Start Date: Week of June 3rd

Starting Schedule: 15-20 hrs/week, 3-4 days

Starting Wage: $18/hr

Includes 24 hours of paid vacation per year, 3 paid sick days, and in shop discounts.


Pinch Bakery and Plant Shop is currently accepting applications for a part-time line cook position for 15-20 hrs per week with evening/weekend availability, with the potential for hours to increase in the future if desired. The position requires standing for long periods of time and light lifting. While we remain committed to full accessibility of our space, there is a one step barrier to access our kitchen.

No post secondary training is required for any position, however beneficial areas of experience/training include a valid Food Handlers Certification, experience with food prep & naloxone training. Personal interest in baking, cooking, coffee, and plants is always welcome! We love to hear not only about your professional experience, but also about your creative interests, hobbies, and personal priorities.

BOH Line Cook Job Description

  • Assisting with meal prep each day
  • Executing orders in an efficient manner
  • Assisting with the daily kitchen cleaning tasks
  • Large batch bakery item prep for weekly needs
  • Baking trays of pastries as needed from fresh or frozen
  • Prepping drink syrups
  • Prepping produce for the week, or for freezer storage
  • Communicate effectively with team members throughout shift and maintain a positive attitude.

FOH Job Description

  • Provide excellent and friendly customer service
  • Execute POS transactions efficiently
  • Package bakery items, serve beverages, and bring meals out to customers (counter service only)
  • Assist with retail purchases of plants as well as watering and general maintenance (training will be provided)
  • Maintain shop standards of cleanliness and complete tasking assigned by management
  • Communicate effectively with team members throughout shift and maintain a positive attitude.
